Skoda has introduced a new electric SUV. This electric SUV, named Skoda Enyaq, will run for 500 km once it is fully charged. The company has just introduced it in prototype form. Enyaq will be launched in three battery sizes and five power variants.
Production of this new electric SUV from Skoda will start in late 2020. It will be launched in the international market in early 2021. The company will first launch its ‘Founders Edition’, marking the completion of 125 years of the founding of Skoda. The Founders Edition will be equipped with special features and its look will also be different. Only 1,895 units of Special Edition Enyaq will be launched in the market.
This electric SUV from Skoda is 4648mm long, 1877mm wide and 1618mm high, while its wheelbase is 2,765mm. It will get a 585-liter space for luggage storage.
In which variant how much power and range?
The Skoda Enyaq will come in five power variants and three battery size options. The entry level variant iV 50 of the electric SUV has a 55kWh lithium ion battery. The rear-mounted electric motor in it gives 109kW power. Once full charged, it will run for 340 km. The iV 60 variant has an electric motor with 132kW power and a 62kWh battery. The range of this model is 390 km.
The Enyaq iV 80 variant has a 150kW electric motor and 82kWh battery. This model of electric SUV will run 500 km on a full charge once. Two other variants of SUV 80X and vRS also have 82kWh battery. Both of these variants come in second electric motor and all-wheel drive. Power is 195kW in 80X variant and 225kW in vRS variant.
Speed and charging
The company claims that the top-end model of the Skoda Enyaqelectric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.2 seconds. Its top speed is 180 kilometers per hour. The full wheel drive variant has a range of 460 kilometers on full charge. Talking about charging, it can be charged up to 80% in 40 minutes with a fast charger.
