Kia Motors launched a new model of its small car Kia Picanto in the South Korean market. The 2020 Kia Picanto facelift is based on the platform with Grand i10 Nios available in the Indian market. The price of the new Kia Picanto in South Korea is 1,17,50,000 KRW (South Korean currency) i.e. around 7.25 lakh rupees.
The new Kia Picanto is available in only one petrol engine. It has a 1.0-liter petrol engine, which is equipped with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. This engine generates 76PS power and 95Nm torque. Let us know that Picanto is known as Kia Morning in some international markets.
There have been many changes in the design of the Picanto facelift compared to the older model and the interior of the car has also been upgraded. The new car has a revised headlamp setup with projector headlamps and four LED DRLs around it. Apart from this, the facelift model gets a slight change with the Kia’s signature Tiger nose grille, updated front and rear bumpers, new redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels, new LED taillamps, chrome exhaust tip and shark fin antenna. The new Picanto comes with a new ‘Honeybee’ color option.
Talking about the interior, there has not been much change in the cabin, but some new features have been added. The new 4.2-inch color MID has been given in the Picanto facelift’s instrument console. The car has a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, allowing 2 Bluetooth devices to be connected.
The car has features such as voice recognition, wireless navigation, wireless phone charging and ventilated front seats. The car is equipped with Internet enabled ‘Car to Home’ feature. The new Picanto for safety features features such as lane-keeping assist system, forward collision avoidance assist and blind spot detection.
