BMW on Thursday launched the new BMW X6 in the Indian market. This coupe-SUV has been launched in two variants (xLine and M Sport). The price of both variants is 95 lakh rupees. This new SUV has just given a petrol engine. Hopefully after some time a diesel engine option can be given in it.
The new BMW X6 features a large twin kidney grille, twin-pod LED headlights, L-shape LED taillights and sliding rooflines. The xLine variant of the SUV has aluminum finish grille, xLine specific air inlets, gloss black lateral grills, exhaust tip with air finish and air breather surround.
The SUV’s M Sport variant comes with the M Aerodynamics package. It includes separate bumpers, side skirts, M badges, blue brake calipers, M door sill finishers, M specific paddles and car key and M sport exhaust.
This new SUV from BMW has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment comes with iDrive touch, voice control, gesture control and Apple CarPlay support. Apart from this, this luxurious SUV features features like rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, panoramic roof glass, 2.5-zone automatic climate control and rear view camera.
The SUV features soft options such as soft close doors, 4-zone automatic climate control, BMW laser light, active cruise control with stop and go function, heads-up display and Harmon Kardon audio system.
Power and speed
The new BMW X6 is powered by a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder petrol engine. This engine generates 335 bhp power at 5,500-6,500 rpm and 450 Nm torque at 1,500-5,200 rpm. The engine is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and comes with an all-wheel drive system. The company claims that this coupe-SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in just 5.5 seconds.
