Hero MotoCorp launched its much awaited bike Xtreme 160R. The Hero Xtreme 160R has been launched in two variants (single disc and double disc). Both variants are equipped with single channel ABS. This new bike from Hero was scheduled to be launched in late March, but its launch was postponed due to the lockdown caused by the corona virus outbreak. Recently the company started registration for the test ride of the Xtreme 160R. Now it has been introduced in the market. The company has also started dispatching the Hero Xtreme 160R. Power and speed
Hero Xtreme 160R has BS6 compliant 160cc air-cooled engine with fuel-injection system. This engine generates 15 bhp power at 8500 rpm and 14 Nm peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. The company claims that this new bike can accelerate from 0-60 kilometers per hour in 4.7 seconds. Its weight (curb weight) is 138.5 kg.
This new streetfighter bike from Hero is equipped with many segment first features. It features LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED side turn indicators, H-signature LED tail lamps, integrated pillion grab rails, hazard lights, full-digital instrument cluster and side-stand-down engine cut-off function.
Suspension and braking
The Xtreme 160R gets 37 mm telescopic forks at the front and 7-step adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear. The ground clearance of the bike is 165mm. Talking about braking, both variants have 276 mm disc brakes at the front. At the same time, dual disc variants have 220 mm disc brakes in the rear, while single disc variants have 130 mm drum brakes in the rear. Both Extreme 160R wheels are 17-inch.
The price of Hero Extreme 160R was long awaited. Today (June 30), the company also exposed its price. The single disc variant of the Extreme 160R is priced at Rs 99,950 and the double disc variant at Rs 1.03 lakh.
