Renault Kwid crossed the 3.5 million unit sales mark in the Indian market. To celebrate this occasion, the company has launched a new RXL (Renault Kwid RXL 1.0-liter) variant with a 1-liter engine. It is the cheapest variant of the Kwid with a 1-liter engine. With this new variant, both manual and AMT gearbox options are given.
The manual variant of the new variant of Renault Kwid is priced at Rs 4.16 lakh and AMT is priced at Rs 4.88 lakh. It has a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which generates 67bhp power and 91Nm torque. It has 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options. Explain that till now this engine was available only in the top variants of the Kwid, RXT and CLIMBER.
Two engine options in Kwid
There are two engine options in the Kwid. The other is a 0.8-liter petrol engine. It generates 53bhp power and 72Nm torque. It only gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Features of the new variant
The new RXL variant with a 1.0-liter engine will get features such as a single-din Bluetooth audio system, split headlamp, LED taillamp element, roof spoiler, power steering, front power windows, remote central locking and internally adjustable mirrors.
Color Options and Safety
This small car with Renault’s SUV-like look comes in 6 color options. These include Zanskar Blue, Fairy Red, Ice Cool White, Moon Light Silver, Outback Bronze and Electric Blue. For safety, the car features features like driver side airbags, seat-belt reminder, speed alert system, ABS, EBD and rear parking sensors from standard, starting variants only.
