Mahindra Electric, the electric vehicle (EV) division of Mahindra & Mahindra Group, is set to launch 3 new products. The company may launch these electric products by the end of the current financial year. That is, these products can be brought to the market before 31 March 2021. These electric weekends include the micro SUV Mahindra eKUV100, Atom Quadricycle and Treo Zor Cargo Three-Wheeler. This is stated in a report by cnbctv18. The company sold 14,000 electric vehicles in the country last year. Treo and e-Alfa Three Wheelers accounted for a large share of the company’s sales. Mahindra Electric showcased its full line of products at the Auto Expo 2020. These were showcased as production or concept avatars. Apart from this, the company introduced the Mahindra eXUV300 as a concept at the Expo. The all-electric sub compact crossover will compete directly with the Tata Nexon EV in the Indian market.
eXUV100 Ex-showroom Price 8.25 Lakh
The price of Mahindra eXUV100 has already been revealed at Auto Expo 2020. The eXUV100 is priced at Rs 8.25 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The Mahindra eXUV100 has a 40kW electric motor. This motor generates torque of 120Nm. The company claims that it runs 145 kilometers in full charge. 80% of its battery can be charged in about 1 hour using DC fast charger.
Currently selected option in electric four wheel market
Mahindra has discontinued the regular KUV100 diesel variant. The current 2020MY Mahindra KUV100 model is coming with only 1.2 liter petrol engine, which generates 82bhp of power and 115Nm of torque. It has a 5 speed manual transmission. There are currently select options in the electric four wheel market. Popular vehicles are Hyundai Kona, MG ZS EV and Tata Nexon.
