Maruti Suzuki introduced the petrol model of the S-Cross at the Auto Expo. Since then, its launch is awaited. This wait is going to end soon. The new report has claimed that the Maurti S-Cross (2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol) with petrol engine will be launched on 28 July. Prior to launching, the company has started sales training for this car.
Maruti S-Cross Petrol will come in three variants, which include Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The entry-level variant Sigma found in the S-Cross’s BS4 model (diesel engine model) has been discontinued. Let us know that till now the S-Cross used to come in only diesel engine, which has now been discontinued. The updated S-Cross will only come with a petrol engine.
The updated S-Cross will get BS6 compliant 1.5-liter petrol engine, which is given in Maruti Brezza. This engine generates 105bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. With this, options of 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox will be available. The S-Cross automatic variant will also feature Suzuki’s SHVS mild-hybrid system.
Apart from the mechanical upgrade, there will be no major changes to the updated S-Cross, which means that it will remain largely the same as the old model. However, the company may make minor changes such as LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, telescopic steering wheel, 60:40 split seat and rear disc brake.
The top variants of the Maruti S-Cross Petrol include LED projector headlamps, LED DRL, LED taillamps, roof rails, auto headlamp leveling and automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, auto dimming inside rear view mirrors and features such as leather seat upholstery, steering and door armrest Will meet.
Talking about the price, the price of the S-Cross that comes with the petrol engine is expected to be slightly higher than the earlier diesel model. The S-Cross diesel was priced between Rs 8.81 lakh and Rs 11.44 lakh. The petrol model is expected to be priced around Rs 9 lakh.
