Hero MotoCorp has recently launched the BS6 Compliant XPulse 200 bike. Now the company is preparing to bring the updated Xtreme 200S and XPulse 200T. The BS6 models of both these bikes will be launched in the next one month. The mechanical changes will be made to make the updated Xtreme 200S and XPulse 200T BS6 compliant.
The Hero Xtreme 200S is a full-faired bike, which was launched in May 2019. The price of BS6 Compliant Xtreme 200S is expected to be about 6 thousand rupees more than the BS4 model. The BS6 model of the bike can be priced around Rs 1.04-1.08 lakhs.
The updated Xtreme 200S will feature a BS6 compliant 199.6cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, similar to the one offered in the XPulse 200. In BS4 version this engine generates 18.4bhp power and 17.1Nm peak torque. At the same time, the engine in the BS6 version generates 17.8bhp power and 16.45Nm torque. The power of this engine is 0.3bhp and torque is 0.65Nm less in BS6 version as compared to BS4. The BS4 engine was a water-cooled unit, while the BS6 engine has an oil-cooling system.
Same engine in BS6 XPulse 200T
The BS6 XPulse 200T will also have the same powertrain. This engine is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. Both BS6 bikes will come with an updated exhaust system, with an additional catalytic converter. The exhaust tube and bash plate have been revised for the new component.
The XPulse 200T has 17-inch front and rear wheels. Both updated bikes will be equipped with single channel ABS. Both bikes get digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation system and features like LED headlamps and taillamps.
