Yamaha launched two BS 6 compliant models of its bikes FZ 25 and FZS 25. The price of BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 is 1.52 lakh rupees, which is about 15 thousand rupees more than the BS4 model. At the same time, the price of BS6 Yamaha FZS 25 is 1.57 lakh rupees, which is about 5 thousand rupees more than the BS4 model of the bike. Both updated motorcycles can be booked for 10 thousand rupees.
The BS6 FZ 25 and FZS 25 were unveiled in February this year. Their sales were to start in April, but the COVID-19 epidemic has delayed the launch. The Yamaha FZ 25 bike comes in metallic black and racing blue color. At the same time, the FZS 25 is available in three color options, including Patina Green, White-Vermillion and Dark Matte Blue.
Both of these Yamaha bikes have BS6 compliant 249cc air-cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine with fuel-injection technology. This engine generates 20.8ps power at 8,000rpm and 20.1Nm torque at 6,000rpm. Both of these Yamaha bikes are equipped with dual-channel ABS. The FZ 25 weighs 153 kg and the FZS 25 weighs 154 kg.
Talking about the features, the updated models get multi-function negative LCD instrument cluster, LED DRL, class D bi-functional LED headlamps, side stand with under cowling and engine cut-off switch. The FZS-25 gets long visors, brush guards on handle grips and golden alloy wheels.
Cheapest 250 cc bike
Both of these Yamaha motorcycles are still the cheapest 250cc bikes in the country. The price of the Bajaj Dominar 250 which comes in their competition is Rs 1.60 lakh. At the same time, the price of Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is 1.65 Lakh and 1.76 Lakh respectively.
