Kawasaki launched the BS6 Versys 650 bike in the Indian market. The Kawasaki Versys 650 BS6 is priced at Rs 6.79 lakh. This middleweight tourer bike is available in only one color Candy Lime Green. The BS6 model of the bike costs Rs 10,000 more than the BS4 version. The updated Versys 650 fuel tank has new graphics.
Booking of BS6 Compliant Versys 650 is on. The bike can be booked from the company’s dealership for 50 thousand rupees. Its delivery will start in late August.
The updated Kawasaki vs 650 has a BS6 compliant 649cc twin-cylinder engine. This engine generates 65 bhp power at 8500 rpm and 61 Nm peak torque at 7000 rpm. The BS6 engine’s output is reduced compared to the BS4 version. In BS4 version this engine used to generate 68 bhp power at 8500 rpm and 64 Nm peak torque at 7000 rpm. The engine is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox.
Suspension and braking
Apart from the upgraded engine, there have been no major changes in the bike. As before, it has 41 mm upside down fork suspension in the front and monoshock in the rear. Talking of braking, the bike has twin 300 mm petal type discs with dual-piston calipers at the front and single 250 mm petal type disc brakes with single piston calipers at the rear.
The Versace 650 bike comes with a twin headlamp setup and adjustable windscreen. It has wide handbars and stepped seats. The bike has a semi-digital instrument cluster with a gear indicator. Its fuel tank is 21 liters. The bike comes with 17-inch alloy wheels.
