Honda’s first electric car, Honda-E Electric, is going to be available in the market from next month. First it will be sold in Japan. This Honda electric car is a great combination of retro look and modern technology. The company showcased the Urban EV concept in 2017 and the Sports EV concept was showcased at the Indian Auto Expo 2018. Subsequently in 2019, the company unveiled its close-to-production Honda-E prototype. The Japanese manufacturer’s first all-electric car for global markets was released a few days ago at the Old Continent as it targets customers whose escapees are primarily in the small town.
Price will be up to 28 lakh rupees
The Honda E’s design has been inspired since the 60s and is priced at around 33,000 euros (about Rs 28.91 lakh) and will compete with the Renault Zoe globally. Honda says the e-electric has been engineered for precise and sharp handling characteristics and the side mirrors have been replaced with an internal display to avoid damage. It also has a full-width digital dashboard, which consists of five high-resolution color screens simultaneously.
It will be produced in limited unit
Honda has limited the availability of the e-hatchback to the European continent and Japan and the company will make a total of 10,000 units annually. In its domestic Japan market, Honda aims to sell one thousand units of the e-hatchback over the course of 12 months and will also be sold for rental services. It will be available for sale in the market for a few months.
300 km on one charge Will last
The company claims that it will run up to 300 km on a single charge. This is the first step in Honda’s objective of electric vehicles and hybrids contributing to two-thirds of worldwide sales by 2030.
With its traditional livery, the Honda-E will entice people with its range and efficient nature, being a small and compact hatchback.
