With the introduction of new models of Japanese automobile manufacturer Suzuki (Suzuki) small cars such as Swift (Swift), Ignis (Ignis) and Solio (Solio), the company is mainly focused on mini cars. The current 8th generation model was first introduced in Japan in December 2014, which is now 6 years old. According to the report, a lightweight platform will be used to build the ninth generation Suzuki Alto. The latest R06D engine has been given in the new Suzuki Alto. This engine will be of 658cc which generates power of 48bhp.
Sporty version will also come
Suzuki is also working on a sporty version of the Alto hatchback, which is expected to be released in October 2021. The Suzuki Alto Next Generation Sport model will get a turbocharged engine. Apart from this, it will come with an entirely new look, design and features. The Next Generation Sport model will offer the driver a sporty driving experience. The existing R06A type engine will be upgraded to design a new turbocharged R06D type engine. The new turbocharged engine will have separate bore and lounger strokes.
New Vitara SUV
Suzuki will also bring the next generation of the Vitara SUV along with the Next Generation Alto by January next year. The Vitara SUV is known as Escudo in Japan. According to the report, the new model will be introduced in October 2020. The new SUV will feature a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. Along with this, the SUV will also get the option of 1.0 liter, 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.
New alto for india too
According to the report, Maruti is working on Suzuki’s new entry-level hatchback car. It can replace the existing Alto in India. Maruti Suzuki Alto’s next-generation model can be launched in India by next year.
The Alto next-generation offered in India may be based on the HEARTECT platform. A 796cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine can be given in Maruti Suzuki Alto Next Generation. This engine generates 48bhp power and 69Nm peak torque. Along with the new Alto 5 speed manual gearbox, an option of AMT transmission can also be given.
New Alto of the 9th generation will be the basis of future Suzuki cars.
