Motorola has launched the new foldable smartphone Razer 5G with new design and advanced features. This is an upgrade version of last year’s Motorola Razor. The new model comes with a 6.2-inch plastic OLED main display and a 48-megapixel main camera sensor. The phone will get an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, which helps add 5G connectivity to it. Currently, the company has launched it with a single RAM and storage variant and three color options. It has a 2800 mAh battery, which comes with fast charging support.
Motorola Razor 5G: Price and Availability
Motorola Razor 5G has been launched in a single 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant. It is priced at US $ 1,399.99 (ie approximately 1.02 lakh rupees) in the US. It will be offered in three color options – Blush Gold, Polished Graphite and Liquid Mercury.
The phone will first be sold in China and select European markets. Other markets, including Asia Pacific, the Middle East and select regions of Latin America, are expected to be launched sometime later.
Motorola Razor 5G: Specifications and Features
The Motorola Razor 5G foldable phone supporting dual-SIM (Nano + eSIM) works on My UX based on Android 10. It has a 6.2 inch plastic OLED main display with 2142×876 pixel resolution and 21: 9 aspect ratio.
The new Razor features an updated hinge design that offers a zero-gap-closure, with the company claiming that this will preserve the phone’s internal display and look more compact when folded. The company claims that its screen will be safe even after opening and closing up to two lakh times.
The phone also has a 2.7-inch glass OLED secondary display, which offers a screen resolution of 600×800 pixels and a 4: 3 aspect ratio sport. It is at the top of the front flip panel, in which users will be able to check notifications, reply to messages, and also see navigation directions.
The phone is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 765G processor and Adreno 620 GPU, paired with 8GB of RAM. Motorola Razor 5G will get 256 GB of inbuilt storage, it will not be extended with microSD card.
Will be able to take selfie with main camera
Talking about cameras, Motorola Razor 5G has a 48-megapixel primary shooter with f / 1.7 aperture. This sensor comes with quad pixel technology which provides better low-light sensitivity. It also supports optical image stabilization (OIS) and is also equipped with laser auto-focus technology. Since the main sensor is placed on the top of the secondary screen on the top flip panel, it can also be used as a selfie camera when the phone folds. The phone comes with several camera modes, including group selfie, portrait mode, spot color, and more.
For selfies and video calls, the Motorola Razor 5G has a 20-megapixel camera with f / 2.2 aperture. It is placed inside a notch above the primary foldable screen. Both cameras support full-HD video capture at 60fps or 30fps, slow-motion full-HD video at 120fps, and slow-motion HD video at 240fps. The Motorola Razor 5G has a 2800mAh battery, which supports 15 W turbopower fast charging. Once charged, the phone can last up to 24 hours.
The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options on the phone include both 5G and 4G support, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n / ac, NFC, GPS / A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C port for charging.
Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, magnetometer (compass), gyro, barometer, ultrasonic, proximity, ambient light and SAR. There are no headphone jacks on the phone. The dimensions of this phone weighing 192 grams are 169.2×72.6×7.9mm when unfolded and 91.7×72.6x16mm when folded.
