The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly, is happy to see the preparations for the IPL. They arrived at the Sharjah Stadium in the UAE on Monday. The IPL is scheduled to be held in the UAE from 19 September to 10 November due to Corona. All 60 matches will take place in Dubai (24), Abu Dhabi (20) and Sharjah (12).
Ganguly took stock of the preparation of the game to deal with Corona at Sharjah Stadium and in a bio-secure environment. He said that the young players are eager to play in the cricket ground where great players like Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar have created history.
Sharjah Stadium ready for the match between CoronaRecently several major works have been done at Sharjah Stadium on a large scale. In addition to artificial roofing, upgrading the Royal Suite, the commentary box and the hospitality box have been prepared as per the rules related to the corona.
About 20 thousand corona test to be held in IPLThis time the corona test of the player and support staff will be done on every 5th day of the tournament. There will be a total of 20 thousand investigations. For this, BCCI will spend 10 crores rupees. 3500 Tests have been done till Wednesday. The first match of the IPL will be played between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 19 September.
