IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals wins over Punjab in SuperOver!!

The second match of IPL version 13 (IPL 13) is being played between Delhi Capitals vs Kings XI Punjab (DC vs KXIP) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. All cricket fans have their eyes on this match. Meanwhile, after losing the toss and batting first, the Delhi Capitals team has given the target of 158 runs in 20 overs to the Kings XI Punjab team. Mayank Agarwal, who was the hero of the victory of Kings XI Punjab, played the best innings of his IPL career during this match. Mayank Agarwal smashed 89 runs against Delhi with the help of 7 fours and 4 sixes in 60 balls.

In the Super Over, Kagiso Rabada’s penetrating bowling helped Delhi beat Punjab easily. Kagise Rabadade took two wickets in the super over and gave away just two runs. So Delhi could easily win the Super Over.

Punjab fast bowler Mohammad Shami gave Delhi three wickets in the opening over. Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for a wicket by Shami. Shamin then showed Prithvi Saw and Shamron Heitmeyer the way to a cheap tent and pushed the Delhi team backwards. Shami bowled a brilliant delivery to take Delhi to 13 for three.


With Delhi at 13 for 3, skipper Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant tried to improve Delhi’s innings. The duo put on 73 for the fourth wicket. But then they were both dismissed for just one run and the Delhi team suffered a major blow. Shami once again bowled hard and dismissed Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas scored 39 and Pant 31 runs. Marcus Stoinis hit some strong shots after these two were eliminated. Therefore, the Delhi team was able to build a respectable score. Had it not been for Stoinis, the Delhi team would not have been able to reach 120 runs. Stoinis’ half-century helped Delhi score more than 150 runs.
