Toyota has launched its Urban Cruiser SUV. Its ex-showroom price starts at Rs 8.40 lakh. This is the first such compact SUV from the company that has been built in partnership with Maruti Suzuki. It has been launched in a total of 6 variants. The company has confirmed that its delivery will start from mid-October.
The Urban Cruiser has a 1.5-liter petrol engine, power 105PS and torque 138Nm. This engine is equipped with 5 speed manual and 4 speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The SUV also features SHVS mild-hybrid technology. The engine and gearbox are the same in all variants.
What variant will be found?
Urban Cruiser Mid Variants: It will get LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps. The car will get a 16-inch steel wheel, double-din audio system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity. The car will get audio control mounted steering. It will come with keyless entry. It will get auto climate control.
Urban Cruiser High Variant: It will get all the features of the mid variant. Its additional features will include a 16-inch alloy wheel, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Cruise control will be available for driving.
Urban Cruiser Premium Variants: It will get additional LED fog lamps with features of mid and high variants. At the same time, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels will be available. Auto-dimming inside rear view mirror will be available. Also, it will get rain sensing wipers.
9 color options will be available
You can buy Urban Cruiser for a total of 9 color options. It includes 6 single and 3 dual-tone colors. Single color includes Sunny White, Iconic Gray, Suave Silver, Rustic Brown, Spunky Blue and Groovy Orange. At the same time, dual-tone colors include Rustic Brown + Sizzling Black Roof, Groovy Orange + Sunny White Roof and Spunky Blue + Sizzling Black Roof.
They will compete in the Indian market
The Indian auto market already has 7 mid-size SUVs in the sub 4 meter SUV segment, which includes Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonnet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and Honda WRV.
