Suzuki Jimny to be built at Maruti’s Manesar factory, likely to be launched in India next year!!

Maruti Suzuki showcased its Jimny at the Auto Expo 2020. Since then, its launch is being awaited in the Indian market. According to reports, the country’s largest car company may launch its 5 door model of Jimny in India next year. It is believed that the company can launch this off-roading SUV in the Indian market at an initial price of Rs 10 lakh. If rumors are to be believed, it can be sold through Maruti’s premium dealership “Nexa Outlets”.

Now another new report has come out, according to which Suzuki Motor is working on a plan to make its 5-door Jimny in India. According to reports, Suzuki will initially import parts of its 3-door Jimny from Japan and will be assembled at Maruti Suzuki’s Gurugram plant.

Subsequently, by 2022-23, Suzuki Motor will make its 3-door Jimny and its new 5-door variants entirely in India. That is, all its parts will be made in India and it will be assembled at Maruti’s Manesar plant.

According to reports, the 5-door Jimny will be produced only in India. The company will manufacture one lakh units at its Manesar plant and from here it will be exported to other countries.

55000 units of Jimny are produced every year

Let us know that Suzuki produces 50,000 to 55,000 units of its 3-door Jimny every year. The company exports it to other countries only from Japan.

Jimny: Potential Performance

According to reports, a 1.5-liter petrol engine can be given for power in the Jimny. Its engine will generate power of 102 PS and torque of 130 Nm. It will get a 5-speed manual gearbox standard. Apart from this, there will be an option of 4-speed automatic transmission. All models of the Jimny will get a 4-wheel-drive system.
