The search for a cure for the corona virus, which has spread around the world, is in full swing. Several companies have claimed that trials of the corona vaccine are in the final stages and that the vaccine will be available later this year. Now a Chinese company has also claimed that the vaccine will be ready for distribution in countries around the world, including the US, by 2021.
Yin Weidong, CEO of Synovac, has applied to the U.S. Department of Food and Drug Administration to sell the coronavax vaccine in the United States. The third and final phase of the human trial of the vaccine is underway. Yin said he had injected the vaccine himself. “Initially, our idea was to develop a vaccine for China and Wuhan,” Yin said. But in June-July we decided to create a vaccine for people around the world.
“Our goal is to provide vaccines worldwide, including in the United States, the European Union and other countries,” he said. Strict regulations in many countries have stopped the sale of Chinese vaccines. But Yin hopes that by changing the rules, it will be possible to vaccinate everyone.
Synovac is one of the leading vaccine manufacturers in China in collaboration with state-owned SynoPharm. The vaccine is being tested on 24,000 people in Brazil, Turkey and Indonesia. The company has selected the countries where Corona has the most patients for trial. The company says it is possible to produce hundreds of millions of doses of the vaccine by February, March next year. Vaccine supply will begin in early 2021 worldwide, including in the United States.
