Mukesh Ambani has been earning Rs 90 crore every hour for the last 6 months. That too at a time when economic activity is coming to a standstill due to Corona. This information is given by Hurun India and IIFL Wealth Management Limited in a report released. The ninth edition of the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List -2020 was released today. The list compiles India’s wealthiest individuals as assets worth Rs 1,000 crore or more by 31 August 2020.
Mukesh Ambani ranked first for 9th consecutive year
In this list, Mukesh Ambani, chairman of India’s most valuable company, Reliance Industries, holds the top position for the 9th consecutive year. According to the report, the total income is Rs 6,58,400 crore. Their total wealth has increased by 73% in the last 12 months. Hurun India is the richest person in the country with assets of Rs 1,000 crore or more as of August 31, 2020. The 2020 edition included 828 Indians.
Ambani earned Rs 90 crore per hour
According to the report, 63 years Ambani has earned Rs 90 crore every hour during the lockdown i.e. from March to August. Currently, Ambani has become the richest person in Asia and the fourth richest person in the world.
Hinduja Brothers in second place after Ambani
The London-based Hinduja brothers (SP Hinduja, along with their three brothers) have secured the second position with a combined wealth of Rs 1,43,700 crore. His total assets have been stated to be 1,43,700 crores. At the third place in the list is HCL-founder Shiv Nadar with assets of Rs 1,41,700 crore. It is followed by Gautam Adani and family in fourth place and Azim Premji in fifth place.
Radhakishan Damani, founder of Avenue Supermarts, is ranked seventh in the list of Top 10 Richest Individuals of Hurun India Rich List 2020. Other names in the top 10 list include Cyrus S Poonawala of Serum Institute of India, Uday Kotak of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Dilip Shanghvi of Sun Pharma and Cyrus Palanji Mistry and Shapoor Palan Ji Mistry of Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
