The Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB) told the court that actress Riya Chakraborty was an active member of the drug syndicate and encouraged Sushant to take drugs. This was a well-planned conspiracy.
The NCB said several members of the high society were involved in the drug syndicate. Riya was aware that Sushant was taking drugs and in the meantime Riya was constantly encouraging him instead of stopping him. Going even further, Riya hid from Sushant the fact that she was giving him drugs.
This was the most shocking thing about the untimely death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput that the NCB presented in court. Opposing Riya’s bail, the NCB told the court that there was a lot of evidence against Riya. Rhea had accompanied the accused in drug dealing as part of a criminal conspiracy and also helped them financially by helping them in drug trafficking.
According to an affidavit filed in the court by NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede, Riya herself had admitted that she had given money to Samuel Miranda and Deepesh Sawant for drugs. The drug for which the money was paid was not for his own personal use but was asked to give the drug to another person i.e. Sushant. This was an offense under Section 27A of the NDPS (Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Prevention Act) 1985.
The NCB said the probe was at a critical stage and if Rhea was granted bail, the probe could be hampered. Rhea can warn the concerned. Rhea was actively involved in drug trafficking. Drug money was made through credit, cash or online.
