It is reported that its 78 million 4G subscribers were in-active (not active) in the month of June. While the company claimed that it has 39.7 crore customers from which revenue is generated. However, in comparison, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone have more active customers.
Number of active subscribers of Jio is almost equal to Airtel
According to the TRAI report, the number of active VLR mobile users of Jio and Airtel was 31 crores and 31.10 crores. VLR stands for Visitor Location Register, which shows the number of active subscribers. Statistics show that in June, the number of active users (active subscribers) of Jio has decreased by 21 lakhs. In the same month, Bharti Airtel’s number of active subscribers has increased by 37 lakhs.
TRAI report has information
This information has been given in the TRAI report. The number of active mobile phone subscribers in the country has come down to 958 million in June. The Kotak Institutional Equity report says that Jio’s 8.7 crore customers continuously recharge the SIM, but they are not connected to Jio’s network. This means that such customers only recharge to keep the SIM running.
Vodafone’s number of active customers decreased
According to TRAI’s recently released report, Bharti Airtel and Jio have been ahead in terms of active customers. In June, the number of active customers of Vodafone has decreased by 37 lakhs. Statistics show that the number of active subscribers of Airtel stood at 311 million in June. While the number of subscribers of Jio is 31 crores and the number of subscribers of Vodafone Idea is 27.3 crores. In May, the number of active subscribers of Airtel was 307 million, Jio’s 31.3 crore and Vodafone 27.7 crore.
Bharti Airtel tops the chart of active customers
According to the data, Bharti Airtel has topped the list of active mobile customers. Talking about the ratio of actual number of customers, Bharti Airtel has also achieved a number in this. 98.14 per cent of its subscribers were active in June, while Jio had 78.15 per cent subscribers. 89.94 percent customers were active on Vodafone.
Vodafone and Jio lag behind in active customers
In this way, the number of subscribers of both Vodafone and Jio has decreased. In June, the number of active subscribers in the telecom industry has decreased by 28 lakhs. However, it saw an increase of 29 lakh in May. According to analysts, Vodafone Idea is continuously losing customers due to weak network. Also, this company is also the most concerned about AGR.
Jio added 4.5 million subscribers in June
By the way, in terms of total customers, Jio has added a total of 4.5 million subscribers in June. This brings its total subscriber base to 397 million. The number of subscribers of Jio and Vodafone Idea in rural areas of the country is 16.6-166 million. However Jio is marginally ahead. According to the data, the number of gross customers of Airtel decreased by 1.1 million in June. Total number of customers of Vodafone has decreased by 48.2 lakhs. The total number of mobile phone subscribers in the country has come down by 32 lakh to 114 crore.
