Hyundai Motor India has quietly launched the base variant of its compact sedan Hyundai Verna in India. The company has launched it in Delhi ex-showroom price of Rs 9.02 lakh. That is, Hyundai’s Verna now has the E variant instead of the base model S variant.
The new Hyundai Verna E variant has many features similar to the S trims. However, you will not find an 8-inch touchscreen like the S trim, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, you will also not get a front USB charger and Sunglass holder in the new variants.
Talking about the performance of the new Hyundai Verna E variant, it has a 1.5-liter petrol engine for power. Its engine generates a maximum power of 113 bhp. Apart from this, its engine is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Let us know that the Hyundai Verna SX trim and above models also have the option of automatic iVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission) unit. Apart from this, Hyundai Verna gets a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine for power. Its engine generates a maximum power of 118 bhp. Apart from this, its engine is equipped with a 7-speed manual gearbox.
At the same time, Hyundai Verna’s 1.5 liter VGT diesel engine generates a maximum power of 113 bhp. Its engine is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox. It also has the option of a 6-speed automatic torque converter unit.
The month of September brought news of relief for Hyundai Motor India. Kampi sales, which have suffered heavy losses due to Corona shocks, have registered an increase. Hyundai sold 59,913 units in September 2020. Whereas, in September 2019, the company sold a total of 57,705 units. Hyundai Motor sales were up 3.8 percent in September 2020 over the previous year.
