Though the Lok Janshakti Party has split from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Assembly elections, party leader Chirag Paswan has said in an interview to a private channel that he is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Hanuman’. He also said that he wanted a BJP-led BJP and Lok Janshakti government in Bihar.
He was referring to the controversy that erupted after Paswan posted a picture of Prime Minister Modi at his party’s campaign rally. ‘I was with Narendra Modi. “I am here today and I will be here tomorrow,” Paswan said. I don’t need to just post a picture of Modi. Modi is worried about me. I am their Hanuman. “Look at my worries, you will see Prime Minister Narendra Modi in it,” Paswan said.
Criticizing Janata Dal chief and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Paswan said, “I don’t need a picture of the Prime Minister.” She is more than Nitish Kumar. On the one hand, Nitish Kumar needs his picture to show his loyalty to the Prime Minister after opposing his decision to repeal Section 370, the amended Citizenship Act. “We have been with the BJP before and will continue to be with it,” Paswan said. He also said that it was his intention to form a joint ‘double engine’ government of BJP and Lok Janshakti Party in Bihar.
